Why Sell On-line?

Can you believe it? After 16 years in business, Water Stone Outdoors is catching up with the 21st century and opening an on-line store. Of course we thought about it a while ago, when all our competition was jumping in, just like we thought about opening another shop somewhere…but, all that hard core capitalism would have messed with our lifestyle. When would we have gotten to the crag or on our bikes or in our boats with all that frantic money making going on? It would have blown the balance.

So, why now? Because we have spent 16 years dialing in what we do and the time is right. We have the right team, the available space and most importantly, we have you all—our loyal and much appreciated customers. We have been getting to know you all these years and, hopefully, earning your trust and respect. We appreciate your business and we want to make it easier for you to shop with us. You’ll find that we bring the same spirit to our cyber world as we bring to our real world—casual, fun, honest and a good bit goofy…still keeping it real!

What is our plan?  Here in our on-line store you will find a compact and focused program that sticks mainly to climbing gear and guides. Our plan is to open the store, work the bugs out, get some feedback from you guys and then, expand as we see fit. Feedback! We want it; we need it; we are listening. We will be expanding to cover other product categories. What do you want to see?
